IT WASN’T ALL THAT UNUSUAL FOR NATASHA, PEOPLE WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD, TURNING OUT TO BE ALIVE. In her line of work that happened more often then you might think but still it was a little mind blowing really, watching Maria occasionally reprimand her son for using certain curse words, or acting like an ass. AMUSING but mind blowing because if it had been anyone else he would of told them to go fuck them selves, but with Maria, he actually listened to her. QUITE THE CONTRAST. The redhead watches the interaction between the brunette and Clint who seemed to be having trouble processing the i n f o r m a t i o n.  ❝Sounds horrific, you ever thought about taking up golf? .❞ Clint asks smoothly, taking a bite out of the sausage roll he’d found in the fridge. Natasha shoots him a look before turning back to Maria.  ❝How about i take you out for lunch?.❞ the w o m a n seems a little uncomfortable , at least that’s what Natasha is reading right now and the redhead wants to try and l e s s o n the tension.

the question will confuse her, for she knows not where it comes from. the randomness of it will throw her off, brows furrowing as her gaze is brought back to natasha. she’s the only one, aside from anthony, that has been able to understand what she’s going through, the only one who has given maria space and time to get used to her; clint seems to simply jump right in to conversation that maria understands not. as the question is posed by natasha, though, maria is all too eager and thankful to answer. giving a nod, she tries a smile.   ❛ that sounds wonderful, miss romanoff. i would love to go to lunch. ❜   and maybe it’s the fact that howard had been the only masculine figure in her life from such a young age ( aside from her son, but even then she hadn’t been around him when he’d truly come into his own ) that she’ll be so uneasy around clint. not that it’s the archer’s fault, because it truly isn’t.
